Julliet Fish Nichols was the keeper of the Angel Island lighthouse from 1902 to 1914. Here, we follow her struggle against the fog, the bad weather and above all, the consequences of the earthquake which destroyed San Francisco in May 1906. But we also discover the job of keeper lighthouse at the start of the 20th century, the sacrifices it requires and the strength it necessitate.

Nous suivons ici sa lutte contre le brouillard, les intempéries et surtout, les conséquences du séisme qui détruisit San Fransisco en mai 1906. Mais nous découvrons aussi le métier de gardienne de phare au début du XXème siècle, des sacrifices qu'il demande et de la force qu'il requiert.
