Between November 1984 and December 1992, Hayao Miyazaki produced a comic set for Monthly Model Graphics magazine. In the issues dated March to May 1990, Hayao Miyazaki presents a short watercolor story titled Hikotei Jidai, which will be the first version of what will later become the Porco Rosso film.
