In 1919, Ryuji Tsukishiro is a soldier in the Imperial Army who is in charge of tracking down supernatural entities. But one evening, a confrontation turns against him and he finds himself on death's door. It was then that he saw a flock of bats and, among them, one with a golden color. Then appears The Bat, a fantastic creature, who explains to him that the woman who seriously injured him is a disciple of the God Nazo, an evil entity wishing to reign over all men. He then offers her to let her body become the receptacle for her power or to die. Tsukishiro accepts and is given powers beyond belief to help him in his quest. But the presence of the God is pernicious and it has already taken root in the imperial army. Ryuji will have to be careful and not trust just anyone.
En 1919, Ryuji Tsukishiro est un soldat de l'armée impériale qui est en charge de traquer les entités surnaturelles. Mais un soir, un affrontement tourne en sa défaveur et il se retrouve aux portes de la mort. C'est alors qu'il aperçoit une nuée de chauves-souris et, parmi elles, une à la couleur dorée. Apparaît alors The Bat, créature fantastique, qui lui explique que la femme qui l'a gravement blessé et un disciple du Dieu Nazo, entité maléfique souhaitant régner sur tous les hommes. Il lui propose alors de laisser son corps devenir le réceptacle pour son pouvoir ou de mourir. Tsukishiro accepte et se voit conférer des pouvoirs dépassant l'entendement, afin de l'aider dans sa quête. Mais la présence du Dieu est pernicieuse et elle a déjà pris racine dans l'armée impériale. Ryuji va devoir faire attention et ne pas accorder sa confiance à n'importe qui.
