In 1921 Japan and the world finally knew peace. A young Christian boy, Asuka Ikuni, struggles to express his emotions after the death of his parents. His salvation will take the form of a chance encounter with a young Italian pilot, an encounter which will allow him to be invited to study at the Vatican. He will then discover Italy at the beginning of the 20th century, study theology and meet other students who, little by little, will become his friends.
En 1921 le Japon et le monde connaissent enfin la paix. Un jeune garçon chrétien, Asuka Ikuni, lutte pour exprimer ses émotions après le décès de ses parents. Son salut vaprendre la forme d'une rencontre fortuite avec un jeune pilote italien, rencontre qui va lui permettre d'être invité à étudier au Vatican. Il va alors découvrir l'Italie du début du 20ème siècle, étudier la théologie et rencontrer d'autres étudiants qui, petit à petit, vont devenir ses amis.
