Kongo, a powerful tengu, managed to put an end to the Hyakki Yako, a terrible event during which Yokai storm the streets of cities. But while he hoped to return home quietly after his work, he discovers that a yokai has survived and has decided to live with him. At first reluctant, Kongo ends up accepting, without understanding how his life will be turned upside down. However, this may end when a person appears and says he wants the little girl back.
Kongo, puissant tengu, est parvenu à mettre fin au Hyakki Yako, terrible événement lors duquel les Yokai prennent d'assaut les rues des villes. Mais alors qu'il espérait rentrer tranquillement chez lui après son labeur, il découvre qu'un yokai a survécu et à décidé de vivre avec lui. D'abord réticent, Kongo finit par accepter, sans comprendre à quel point sa vie va être chamboulé. Pour autant, cela risque de prendre fin quand une personne apparaît et dit vouloir récupérer la petite fille.
